Build the set

Breaks, changeover and running time

Split a set into parts with breaks, add changeover time between songs and see which songs still need a length.

The builder adds up the songs’ lengths into a running time for each part and the whole set, next to the setlist’s target if it has one.

Choose Setlist > Insert Break (⇧⌘B) to split the set into parts, such as Set 1 and Set 2. Each part shows its own total. On stage, a break shows which song the next part starts with; press → to carry on. The show clock keeps running.

Choose Edit Break… on a break row to give it a length. It counts in the whole setlist’s total only.

Changeover is the time between songs: tuning, a sip of water, a word to the crowd. Set it for a setlist under Details…, or set the default in Settings > General. It is added after every song but the last of each part.

Segue never guesses a length. A song with no length adds nothing, and the total says how many are unknown, for example “38:20 + 2 unknown”, so it never looks more precise than it is. Click “unknown” to list exactly which songs need one, then type a length or time the song.
